Alignment and Essential Goodness: The Point 1 Journey
Bringing awareness and presence to the underlying fear that we, others and life are not right (or good) transforms us — awakening capacities for aligning with, and acting on, the goodness and sacredness in each moment. Three teachers (including one who identifies as Type 1) share what they feel is important to know about Type 1 and Point 1 in all of us. Receiving this triad of teachings is an astonishing transformative transmission of the Enneagram in action.
In this session, you'll discover:
- Point 1 provides illuminating understanding, deep appreciation, and a felt sense of the human journey
- How Point 1 comes to life in surprising and emergent ways
- An increased respect for the resonance of Type 1s with aspects of Being, consciousness, and possibilities
Gayle Scott
Gayle Scott, master Enneagram teacher, trainer, consultant, and coach, discovered the ancient psycho-spiritual Enneagram system in 1989. This life-altering event prompted her to start a Southern California chapter of the International Enneagram Association, and catapulted her into a lifelong personal and professional exploration of the sacred Enneagram mysteries.
Before and during her Enneagram journey, Gayle made her career in film and television production in the Hollywood and Canadian film industries. In the 1990’s, while developing scripts, casting and working with actors, she was creatively inspired to employ the Enneagram system as a power tool for psychological character development in story and performance. Combining her professional expertise with her passion for the Enneagram, she introduced Hollywood to the Enneagram of Personality, and developed her pioneering specialty, Enneagram Consultant to Dramatis Personae. Her clientele included prominent stage and screen actors, opera singers, producers, directors, and screenwriters. In 1993 Gayle began studying with preeminent Enneagram teachers and authors, Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson. From 2007 to 2017 she served as senior faculty of the Riso-Hudson Enneagram Institute, teaching internationally and guiding students through the professional teacher training certification program.
Gayle served on the global board of D\directors of the International Enneagram Association from 2005 to 2010. She was the co-chair and program director of the 2005 and 2010 Global Enneagram Conferences. Gayle is also a certified New Ventures West Integral life coach. Her work with clients combines the depth and breadth of the Enneagram with the richness of the Integral Coaching system.
Living high in the Rocky Mountains above Boulder, Colorado from 2002 – 2020, Gayle co-founded the original Colorado chapter of the IEA, developed and taught the first courses in Enneagram for Inner Transformation at the Buddhist-informed Naropa University, and helped make Boulder the vital Enneagram center and destination it is today.
Gayle now lives in the High Desert Land of Enchantment of New Mexico. She is the Director of the Enneagram Mystery School of the Southwest. She coaches and consults, and offers a variety of courses for enthusiasts, as well as mentoring and enrichment programs for established teachers and practitioners.
In 2023, Gayle joined with Russ Hudson and Jessica Dibb to teach a seven-month online Enneagram Professional Teacher Training Certification program for the SHIFT Network.
